Nail Fungus

2 Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Nail Fungus fast

Besides being embarrassing and unsightly, nail fungus can be an uphill task to get rid of. Conventional topical treatments are usually not effective as they don’t penetrate deep into the nail bed where the fungus thrives. Likewise, anti-fungal pills have myriad side effects.

Luckily, there is a natural cure composed of readily available ingredients – baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Many pathogens, including fungi, can only survive within a minimal pH range. Whereas baking soda is highly basic, vinegar is very acidic.

This composition is beneficial for disrupting the pH of the pathogen’s environment, resulting in healthier, clearer nails.

What You Need to Get Rid of Nail Fungus:

  • Large basin
  • Baking Soda
  • Warm water
  • Several cups of ACV

Directions:

  • Add the apple cider vinegar to the basin. It should be enough to cover your nails.
  • Soak your feet in the ACV for around 20 minutes
  • Properly dry your feet.
  • Add warm water to the basin, enough to cover your nails.
  • Add approximately 1/2 cup of baking soda to the water.
  • Then, soak your feet for additional 14-20 minutes.
  • Properly dry your feet.
  • Perform the treatment a couple of times a day.

Consider wearing open-toed shoes as fungi thrive in the dark, moist environments.

Your nails should always be short, with neatly trimmed cuticles. Also, brush your nails with tea tree oil daily to help combat nail fungus in between treatments.

It would be best if you were patient, as it can take several weeks for nail fungus to die off. It’ll take even longer for the affected areas of nails fully to grow out.
